Question

What are the traditional marketing techniques and how do they compare to digital marketing techniques?

Answer

Traditional marketing refers to any type of promotion, advertising or campaign which has been in use by organisations over a number of years and has a proven success rate. Different types of traditional marketing can include newsletters, flyers, and newspaper print ads. Other forms of traditional marketing techniques include television commercials, as well as radio spots advertising a business product or service.

While these techniques are still prominent in today’s society to attract new business and clients, others have overhauled these with new and innovative marketing tactics. These new ideas often heavily involve the use of the Internet, as organisations use social media tools and online ad campaigns in order to expand their reach. Organisations can furthermore develop upon
webpages or blogs to provide the latest information about the products or services they offer.
